Project Description:
The City & County of San Francisco was looking for a Maintenance Management Product that could meet the diverse demands of Golden Gate Park, one of the premier parks in the world. After an extensive search, they chose TMA’s Enterprise Solution. They felt that the TMA solution could meet the needs of a recreational facility that has more than 75,000 visitors in an average weekend and that provides more than 50 ways to spend a day in the park, ranging from French lawn bowling to riding an 87-year-old carousel. In addition, to the normal park facilities such as playgrounds, picnic grounds, basketball courts and tennis courts, this world-class recreational facility is also home to several museums and gardens including: the California Academy of Sciences, Steinhart Aquarium, Morrison Planetarium, Conservatory of Flowers, Garden of Shakespeare's Flowers, Japanese Tea Garden and San Francisco Botanical Garden at Strybing Arboretum. In addition, the park hosts a variety of other sports and recreation activities such as archery, biking, skating, fly fishing, golf, handball, horseback riding, horseshoes, lawn bowling and track events at the 10,000 seat Kezar Stadium.
The administration recognized that TMA Enterprise had all the features and functionality necessary to successfully meet their needs of a premier recreational facility, yet was simple enough for non-technical end users to easily understand and use. The system was quickly implemented during a four-month period with minimal disruption to the organization.
TMA continues to meet the needs of this organization and will expand in its use by meeting the growing demands being placed on it by the ongoing growth of events at these facilities.
